Elmira Baptist Church is a Christ centered, Bible believing church nestled in the heart of the Appalachin Mountians. Our church has a lot to offer from good old fashioned preaching and singing, a Christian Academy, and a food pantry to help those in need. We stand firmly on God's Word, and follow it's precepts. Bro. Jeremy Raby has been our pastor since 2007. He was born in Asheville, North Carolina. God called him to preach at the age of 15 and at the age of 31 God allowed him to become our pastor. He and his wife Vera have four children three girls and a boy. Pastor Raby has a way of expounding the Word, so that everyone from the new convert to the seasoned Christian can understand. He never compromises on the Word even though it may not be popular. He is a great help to our church and to our community.
