AMMO is a outreach of the Elmira Baptist Church to help the people in our area with food, clothes, and other things. The area we live in is a good distance from any good jobs. There is a lot of seasonal work here and during the winter months a lot of layoffs. We started AMMO to try to help some folks with their needs. AMMO is supported by churches as a mission. With this support we are able to help more people. Unfortunately due to current economic situations we have lost a lot of support. This is a good work and I challenge any pastor or church to come and look at this work. We give out food every Tuesday, everyone that comes to get food must come to a church service. The Lord has so richly blessed this, last year we saw 63 people get saved and this year so far we have seen 8 people come to know the Lord, and He is still saving souls. There is no telling what the Lord will do if we can get some churches in this ministry. I pray that you will consider this work into your mission budget. If you cannot help financially we always take non-perishable food, and clothes.

The pictures just don't do justice to what goes on here. As you see from about 9:00am we have cars lined up in front of the church to pick up groceries. Some of these people travel very far and wait a long time just to get the little box of food that we are able to give them. The people come from all walks of life but God has allowed us to help them. They will attend a church service and have the gospel presented to them before they get their food.

Every year at Christmas time we raise funds and buy toys for children who would not normally get anything for Christmas. This has been a blessing for the kids and us in the past years. All the funds and gifts come from the support of others. We allow churches to "adopt" names of children they would like to buy christmas for and we bring them in and give them the gifts. This is a good way for these children to see the love of Christ shown to them. Won't you please pray and consider helping provide Christmas for these children.
